Is it OK to sprinkle the baking powder in the coop where they sleep? We are trying the deep betting method and with all of the rain lately I find ants also
Thank you @Lady of McCamley I caught them cleaning their feathers and snapped a couple of photos… I agree on the heat and molting. I tried to order diametaceous Earth on Amazon and a message came up saying it could not ship to my house. I was going to try and mix that into the dirt and their coop.

Is it common for chickens to lose their feathers in the summer? It is hot here in Texas and they seem healthy otherwise but they all are dropping the small fluffy feathers as well as the larger ones from their wings. They are 12-13 weeks old.
