Thank you. I was looking at your profile picture. We were given some Bantams and these look like the hen we have. Could you tell me what the breed is? There is a young rooster that looks like her, too. He has just found his voice in the last week. Any idea how old he might be?

I had a RIR rooster that was gorgeous, but too mean to the hens and pushed his luck with me, too. It made me sad when we had to dispatch him.

These are the 3rd day and 4th day eggs from our newly laying RIR hen. The first two were pretty much the same size as the third one. As newbies we are amazed at the difference in the two.
