    I have a concrete floor but hate it...I'm wondering if anyone has used those rubber mats over concrete?

    I'm glad to see this post. I'm building my coop now, as part of a large shed, and was considering scrap vinyl over the wood floor until the person helping me design the coop suggested stall mats. Reading above that they might be hard to keep clean, now I'm leaning more towards the vinyl. Thanks...

    Thank you for including this article! My chicks aren't here yet, but I'd thought I should sprinkle diatomaceous earth in my coop. I think I'll forego that now.

    Going back in after 60+ years!

    I'm so happy to find such a knowledgeable community of cluckers. I haven't had chickens since I was in high school. Hubby never wanted them, but now that he's gone, if I can't have him, I'll have the chickens. A lot has changed in the chicken world since the 60's, and I'm loving all the posts...
