    Thin Shells

I changed the container and the shells have gone back to being decently hard, but I might just mix some shell into the feed in general. Or mix the baked, crushed eggshells into the feed (those become smaller fragments than the oyster shell). Thanks tons for the help!

    Thin Shells

I have a mixed-breed flock of hens (brahmas, isabrowns, barred rocks, wyandottes, jersey giants, an easter egger, and a rhode island red), in a good-sized coop with large windows. I'm in coastal New Hampshire. We moved them out of our basement a couple of months ago (they'd been spending nights...

Two roosters (one Easter Egger, one Frizzle) to rehome in New Hampshire

Heh, yeah. NY is just a bit far to drive. He's a total cutie, though.

They're both still available! Do you have a flock in need of a loving dude or two to sing to them?

Light Brahma cockerel in New Hampshire

Oh man, he's gorgeous. I do wish we could keep our boys; they're often so attractive.

I wouldn't mind listening to him in the morning - it's the constant crowing that's the problem. (My town doesn't allow properties with my zoning to keep roosters because of the noise. I hadn't realized it was quite so... steady.) I haven't been to Ireland, but I've been to Scotland several...

No, we're in New Hampshire, US. There are a LOT of old stone walls, in a similar style to the UK ones, here. Are you in Ireland? My husband is British, so we visit the UK relatively frequently (although we haven't in a few years).

@LeggyLeghorn Isn't he just fantastic? He had to find a new home, though, as we're not allowed boys.

Two roosters (one Easter Egger, one Frizzle) to rehome in New Hampshire

This is my first time raising chickens and two of the cute-as-pie fluffy balls of fuzz have turned out to be roosters. I'm not allowed roosters where I live, so either I have to re-home these cuties or eat them. They're both only about 6 months old. I've attached pictures of them both; it should...
