I have 5 healthy chooks , about 2 yr old have been good layers but have now stopped laying ! can anyone tell me why this happens ? it has gone cooler at night but still warm during the day .........food hasn't changed ....should I replace them for younger ones ?
two of my chooks have scaley feet/legs , I`ve bathed them and socked them in olive oil but I`ve just noticed they have brown / light red mites on them , both refuse to leave their nesting box unless I pick them up ! do I need to put something on their bodies/feathers too and what should I clean...
i used this product yesterday to get rid of roundworm, on the back it says Withholding period MEAT ,do not use less than 7 days before slaughter .EGGS Nil.........? does that mean you can carry on eating the eggs or nil to be eaten ? it says nothing on the tube regarding stopping using the eggs...

i noticed a poop today full of worms each about 4" long , im not sure which chicken it is as all 5 look very healthy . Im pretty new to this so can i ask , is it still ok the eat eggs if your birds have worms ? should i be worming them and how often and what product should i use ?

Thanks chaps , all but the Bantam were hens and all laying well now , swapped the Cockerel for another bantem and that was the first to lay. Good hard shells with very yellow yolk.................between 3 and 4 eggs per day ......
my eggs shells are very hard and ive noticed that a couple have like a hard wart on the outer shell from the same bird, is this due to calcium , too much or too little ...? or any other reason , thanks
