Hello my emu hatched 24 hours ago and was drinking water only like 2 sips and it won’t eat it’s food I’ve tried diced carrots, cucumbers, and lettuce plus non medicated chicken feed. I’m pretty sure that’s normal since it just hatched but it’s been acting weird where it faints every 5-20...
Also the heat lamp is for reptiles I hope that’s fine. Locally there isn’t any poultry shops I would have to take a couple hour drive to get supplies for chickens (which is no problem) but I hope the reptile one is fine
I took out the feed and water for the picture my apologies they keep falling into the water so I have a bottle cap I’m using. The food is Medicated feed for chicks.
Didn’t look like the reply went through about getting it! I just bought the nutri drench for chickens and should be here in about 10 days what can I do until then? And I made a wall between the aggressive chicks!
Hello I found the nutri drench just to make sure it’s the right one I uploaded a pic. Is it ok if it gets here in 10 days? What should I do until it gets here?
Thank you it seems to stop chirping in heat I have another question I have a 2 month year old red cyami chicken he’s a aggressive at times but would it be ok to put her in the same brooder as the chicks? She pecked at ones head very near the eyeball might make a wall
