Hey all, I tried hatching one of these adorable babies over a year ago and had a terrible incubator malfunction. I am ready to try again, does anyone have maybe two or three eggs I could buy to hatch, this is a project involving my teen son and my younger daughter. Thanks for considering.
I actually don't need a full dozen, only want to have 6-8 eggs in bator....Would you be able to do a smaller amount. Maybe mix it up with the duck breeds. I'm a back yard keeper. :)
My zip code is 08015
Looking for about 6 eggs to do a hatching project with my kids. Mix will include turkey, duck and maybe a chicken or two. I will be staggering their hatch and they will be kept as pets.
I don't have alot of money but will pay fair price. Thanks.
How do you feed/Water your chickens. Changed out my girls to a large ceramic bowl for water as they don't tend to get as much debris in it. Still using the small plastic feeder for there dry food, wondering if i need to upgrade.
Outside of the normal Feed, I've been given them all vegy and fruit scraps and left overs. I've heard some folks feed them regular dinner left overs. What do you feed yours? What won't you feed yours and why?
Thanks
Mine like to poopy in there food, talk about wasteful...lol... But we change bedding often, using crate too. I haven't noticed the smell. What type of bedding are you using.
One week and my babies are adjusting to their new home. My three are Buffy-a buff orphington and Cortana and Chicken Nugget, both gold sex links. They have a homemade brooder on my bathroom counter. The family goes in and out all day visiting and talking to the Chickens. They love the company...
I had a second thermometer, but maybe I should look into a digital. Wouldn't it be great if they made one with an alarm that beeps when the temp is too high.
