This EEer is 6 weeks old. Not red in comb like another EE I have that is definitely a roo, but the feather coloring has me leaning boy. Nothing bright or dark, yet - s/he's just too "pretty", lol... Thoughts?
Hey all!
I got this chick as a wee one in a mystery straight run bin - My hunch is that this is a BSL roo, but wanted a few more opinions - hoping it might be a Barred Rock pullet (I know it's unlikely, lol).
6 weeks old.
Hey friends... Anyone know if Michigan TSCs are still getting their chicks from Townline? I asked when I was there and they didn't know...(?)
I just picked up two pure white bantam chicks (clean legs, def not silkies) from there and I can't seem to figure out what they are based on...
I'd totally agree, but seriously - that comb has been bright red like that since like 8 weeks. I thought for sure it was a boy based on that early on. Fingers crossed though. :) Thanks
16 weeks - last time I posted, it was about 80% in favor of this being a girl. Whatcha thinking now? The pretty grey/orange combo had me leaning boy, but not really much else for male clues. Maybe slightly darker at the shoulders?
Thabks!
Is this a boy? It's 10 weeks. I thought girl for a long time- It's my smallest of the group and pale comb. But getting a slightly darker bit of blotches and tail looks like coming in curved ?
I just picked up two sweet silkie chicks to give to my broody hen. She already has them and they are all happy as can be - I love having a broody raise chicks - it just seems "right" :)
Post a picture if you can - I wouldn't count on the crowing to tell you. Often EEer boys will get darker/redish color blocks on their shoulders, & longer tail feathers.
Anyone want to take a stab at this one - s/he's completely all white, no buff lacing leaking through. 8 weeks old.
The body picture is awful and not very helpful, but no long tail feathers (it's early for that, I know)
Pinkish comb...
