there will always be pecking. It's treir nature. If you were adding 1 bantam then I would say it would be tougher. But I had 3 bantams I intraduced to my exisiting flock of 12 and they were fine. Since there are five of them it shouldn't be a problem. They will stick together.
your correct with genders... But the breeds look like what I got from TSC and they were dutch. #2and #3 Black brested dutch bantams. They ordered from privett hatchery.. Not sure on the others
not sure what they are but the browns look like OEGB or easter eaggers. The white might be japanese blacktailed but I could be sure from the picture. Check the white ones legs if there shorter then the brown guys then it's a good posability. Better picture in 2 weeks after they get color will...
just gotta say they dont mind. i did my first butcher yestaerday and my laying hens werent bothered at all. there still laying the next day and are hanging around me like nothing happened..
I've seen my Cornish bantam mount a few of my normal size hens and was wondering if when he's doing this is he getting the job done or not? He seems to be on their back more then anything and not so much near the hens area. Anyone know about this or any thoughts?
