First off, I've been a lurker for a while and really appreciate all of the hints and tips.

Now, while at a local TSC to pick up some White Leghorns for a few fresh free range eggs later own, I made the mistake (not really) of showing my 3 yr old and 6 yr old daughters the assorted Bantam chicks. Well, they just had to have some so we bought 4. I have no clue what breeds they are. I'll post a few pics as soon as I am allowed. If anyone is really interested, could I send the pics in a private message?

not sure what they are but the browns look like OEGB or easter eaggers. The white might be japanese blacktailed but I could be sure from the picture. Check the white ones legs if there shorter then the brown guys then it's a good posability. Better picture in 2 weeks after they get color will make it alot easier to figure out.

The brown one with the blue legs looks like a Dutch bantam. the other brown looks like an OEGB. Of course, coming from a hatchery they could even be the same clutch, just mixed, as hatcheries often cross in OEGB to Dutch (both are great birds ... friendly, broody, and moderately good layers for bantams)

LOL @ bantam bingo....chicken roulette is what I call it!!! My local TSC also had a bin full of assorted bantys i'm fighting the urge to go buy any...really I am. I just got the 10 out of my bathroom and i'm running out of space in my space! I have 2 lil cochins right now i'm trying to find pictures of anyone who has some to see what they might possibly look like when older. Once i get everyone all settled in and sorted out i MIGHT venture out for an OEG or something thats just flashy and nice to look at. I have my black silkies, but they are so antisocial its not even funny.

Thanks! Keep them coming! I'll try to update pics every few days so I can be sure what I've got. (Not that it really matters). I just wanted some chickens to run around the yard and soem fresh eggs.

Yep, you've already been infected with the disease and there is no cure, other than more birds! I wish I had a nickel for every person who "just want wanted a few chickens to run around the yard and some fresh eggs". I'd be quite wealthy by now.......
