Hey guys. I have been searching the website. Talking to my local chicken friends. Uploaded bird ID app, that is pretty on the money most of the time. I am normally good at guessing breeds. But a few of my new chicks from TSC has me stumped. I have my guesses so you guys tell me what you think. Help my brain. (I have no idea why this matters so much to me.. but I drive myself crazy over it. Lol. Its like being pregnant and wanting to know the sex of your baby. Its not going to matter all that much. You will love and adore the little blessing either way. 😃)
So here we go. These guys were already starting to be feathered in wheni got them 2 weeks ago. So im guessing around 2.5/3 weeks old. These are the 2 regular sized beauties from the "smokey pearl" bin. No may be the other Wasn't colored right. The others are bantys.

Pictures 1-4(1-3 on thumbnail, its acting odd) some are the first couple days to now. This is the one I am really scratching my head over. Google and My app say ISA brown. I do not think so? The coloring is gray. There are some other colors coming in. I can't tell what it is yet.But I've never personally had those. I am very wishful thinking/hoping for a light EE? Thoughts?

Pictures 5-7 Is a tough one. The other regular sized one I am questioning. It is mainly white. But has a beautiful tint to the feathers. Pretty rose tone beak and legs. Very pretty face.

Pictures 8-10 are the banty I am really struggling with. Google and app say Serama. It is Tiny!! I have several bantams and this is the smallest I've ever had. The coloring is beautiful. Its a gray with something else. I can't tell yet.

The next banty 11-15 is a beautiful Buff color. I'm pretty sure it has a rose comb. Or it may just be a super small single. I can't tell 100 yet. Google says Buff Orphington Bantam. (Which makes since because she does remind me of my Buff Cochin bantys.) The other thought I had was a Red Pyle Old English Bantam?

The last is I'm 99 percent sure a White Black Tailed Japanese bantam. 16-20 Well X2. I have a Hen that is 12 weeks old. Her mate died a few weeks back. I'm not sure Why. But I was trying to replace him. I'm thinking One is a female and the other male. 🤞 I just want to be sure my wishful thinking isn't making me see something that isn't so. They are right? Lol. 20250429_212148.jpg 20250508_225859.jpg 20250508_225923.jpg 20250508_231349.jpg 20250508_231439.jpg 20250503_201748.jpg 20250429_212644.jpg 20250503_200949.jpg 20250508_231740.jpg 20250428_203331.jpg 20250428_203314.jpg 20250429_212428.jpg 20250508_231242.jpg 20250508_231249.jpg 20250429_211639.jpg 20250429_211753.jpg 20250503_201448.jpg 20250508_232051.jpg 20250508_232056.jpg

You may have to wait a bit until they feather out more. The bantams could be games, and those with pea combs could be bantam Easter egger. Hard to see leg colors on them.

Here are some better pics with legs.. same chick order. Any guesses with be much appreciated. Thanks!!

When I go to Hoover hatchery's website the only bantams with clean yellow legs are the Japanese. Those large breeds could be their starlight green eggers. Not sure though.

Yeah its been a stormy mess here. Ugh!! Hopefully i can get them out today snd take some better pics.. thanks so much for the help!!
You have a White Laced Red Cornish Bantam and a Pyncheon Bantam. It would be really helpful to have standing pictures and comb pictures labeled in natural lighting for the others
!!

Number one.. love your Avatar!! I have Bostons!! Love them!! Number 2.. that is the thing that is bonkers about TSC. They don't list all their breeds online. Ive learned this from numerous chicks not being listed that I end up having. Lol. I have japanese bantams and the buff one looks similar. Im actually wondering if she is a Buff Laced Seabright since she has either a Rose or Pea comb. Idk. Its not single. Lol. Thanks for all your input. It helps my brain. 😃

Tractor supply is good at confusing people. I have gotten single comb very light seabright from them. Wish I could be more helpful

Boston's are the best. Such happy optimistic dogs. :)
