So the cord I linked above works perfectly for the Hamuti chicken coop door. There are others of longer length, but make sure they have the connections as the one I linked. DO NOT use the Renogy red and black cord mentioned near the top.
I have same door opener. 2 things:
1. I wouldn't use the cords recommended here. They don't look like the same pin connections. I am going to try this: https://www.amazon.com/Solar-Extension-Cable-Waterproof-Spotlights/dp/B07CTM1JLS/ref=asc
I'll advise if it works.

15 weeks old - 2 black sex-links, 2 red sex-links, 1 white rock, 1 RI white, 1 RI red, and 1 EE. Thinking two months more. Can't wait!
I already have a flock with a Jersey giant, Dutch bantam, red sex-link, and RI red and RI white. Getting one to three eggs daily from the 5 girls. The new...

Old question but I figured I would contribute since I look things up from old threads. The questions and answers never really change.
I live in Colorado and let mine out at about 3-4 weeks for a period each day (or as much as I'm able to due to work.) I partition off about half my run with...
The information above is good, but most commercial egg farms have leghorns for egg production. They have a good feed to egg laying ratio which means they can get by with less food and still put out good numbers (240-300 eggs a year.) They lay white eggs, which is why most supermarket eggs are...
Something non-pourous will make clean up easier. It will also make it less likely to attract unwanted mold or whatnot should it somehow get wet and/or over time from urine and poop. I have a converted doghouse, which is a about 3' x 3' floor area, and made a tray for my floor which comes in very...
