    Any ideas?

Here is a pic of my little sweetie 4 weeks old. He/she is a barnyard mix and much different than the other 4. All gray as chick and smaller and feathering out much slower? Also has 2 pronounced bald spots on both wings. Is that normal? Any clue on possible breed difference? New to raising chicks!!

Any ideas on how to move 1000lb chicken coop

Update: we managed to move the coop with a couple great friends: basically we place 2 pallets under with a tow strap placed and used a truck. It worked much better than we could have thought. Thanks for all the great suggestions

So when your mail order chicks arrive dead....

I had one die and offered to send a replacement with 2 other paid because min was 3 birds and they paid shipping so got 3 birds for 6 bucks- we ended up not getting replacement Bc too stressful to worry about shipping again but they were willing to do whatever.

    Enough ventilation or too much?

Thank you for the replies. I was thinking a hinged flap as well and we plan to have one window in the coop somewhere. We live in western pa so summers not too bad- usually 90-100 in july, august and nights in 75-80, our winters vary. This year was an awful winter and -20 with windchill some...
