    I would advise against CO for anyone who ever finds this thread in the future. Without a doubt i would recommend a .22

    in order to do that and be ok with it i would have to build a big enough outdoor enclosure. As it stands they forage 3 acres and they love it. Id rather not cage them in. Not sure if this is doing the right thing, but i dont think i have another choice given the circumstances. at least i am...

    He's in here, I dont think he has rabies as he was out and about during the day chasing after chickens.. I dont know how I would get a knife in there..

    He's taken out 6 of my chickens. Florida doesnt allow transporting/relocating them and local animal control says they wont take him. Im left with 2 options: release or kill.     I'll try introducing them after 2-3 weeks and make it so they can run for cover underneath something if the older ones get aggressive. Thanks so much for all the advice. Cheers!

    Looks like you guys were spot on .. looks exactly like a turkey vulture. Well done! Are you sure they don't kill chickens?

    I'll try to get a closer shot. It could very well be a turkey vulture. I have seen them dive down towards the chickens in the past but I haven't seen a kill directly.
