    I got this little guy/girl from Atwoods today. It was to cute to pass up. Got it out of the bantam bin. Its actually a silver color all over. black legs. No feathers on the legs. Anyone know what Breed it is? cuz i have no clue.

    Darkmatter- i LOVE the way u think ; ]. The grain bin is about 15ft wide and about 8-9 ft tall not including the roof. Its like the Butler brand kind that sit on the ground.

    Well i was going to turn an old grain bin into an immaculant chicken coop. Then my mother in law reminded me of how hot they get in the summer. Now what am i going to do? Any one have suggestions? All are welcome. I want something different for 20 birds.

    Do they sell eggs or just hatchlings? And does anyone know about their egg quality? I would like to find some that at least are close to standards for cayugas.

    I just got my first egg out of my fav girl today. Shes 25 weeks old now. Shes the sweetest thing. I do see the size difference in the BEI now thanks to all your wonderful pictures! I think I'll have to give them a try next spring! so stinking cute!

    Can someone please tell me the difference in cayugas and east indies? i mean from seeing pics and such they look alot alike. All ive ever had is cayugas but i wasnt sure if there was that much difference. Thought id ask the professionals. lol thanks!

    Ok so how do you "cure" ? I dont typically butcher my chickens so i have no clue what im doing here. What about a rotissore would that do any good?

    our 1yr old RIR roo is so very rough with our hens. He has no clue what hes doing. Lol anyway ive tried giving him away and no one will take him. Of course. My husband suggested butchering but is he going to be any good? Texture, taste? Any suggestions?
