I admit it really creeps me out to hear them running around when I go out there at night. I always feel like one is going to run on my foot or jump on me.
The biggest issue is that I hear them in my ceiling. .....
I will try again to catch them humanely, and if that doesn't work I will use...
I'm glad to give her one. :) Last night I went back in and set it up with a cement block and a conveniently shaped rock (like an L) so there is a mini stairway on the step. Emma walked all the way up but didn't go in because the male walked away. :( At least I know it is accessible.
I swear she...
They got their pool. :) Haven't seen anyone swimming yet. If they don't swim by tomorrow morning I am going to change the step into a ramp or stairs. The muscovy is fascinated.
Have some other projects for tomorrow as well. Fun. :D
Okay, this is new information to me. I didn't know that they eat mice. Do they just eat baby mice or adults as well? I think all the rodent-like creates here are 3 1/2" and up.
My traps failed. I actually decided to poison them. More like, kind of running out of options due to the fact they...
That is how I pick them up too. :) If I need to hold it for a bit longer, I usually hold it against my chest or stomach, with one arm wrapped around from underneath, and the other hand one under the feet or on the back. Doesn't prevent being peed or pooped on though lol.
I didn't read the...
...and good morning.
Inside coop. Don't mind the bags of dirty hay, haven't moved it yet lol. Used to be mulch in that first area... the hay kinda took over.
Outside coop. I wish I could plant grass but a tortoise lives here. Would never work. Hoping to plant some trees though.
Tortoise...
I would I could have taken more. :(
I don't think they ever let them out of that cage, the top is covered and that is all for shelter. The only animals I see out of their cages are the piglets, because they escape daily. I mentioned to the owner that if they need help feeding and caring for the...
I got her from a farm feed&supply store. They have donkeys, various pigs, goats, emus, quails, and various chicken and duck breeds. The man working there who talked with me when I decided to purchase her was nice enough, but he did something that really angered me and I feel like a fool for not...
Thank you for the youtube links! I'm going to be making something very similar to that, which I found through your links. I saw that some mice were able to jump out of that, and I don't want to add too much water because I don't want to kill them. (Don't really know what I'm gunna do with them...
My coop is under attack! Rats, mice, bugs, and ANTS.
I live in Florida and ants are a huge problem. Wolf spiders and roaches are going to be a huge problem soon too.
Any idea how I can kill these miniature monsters without hurting my ducks?
Going to set up traps for the rats and mice for...
