Pallet Coop Hybrid
Greetings from Upstate, NY! First of all, I'm cheap but I'm also a perfectionist which makes for a conflict of interest. I wanted to build a coop and pen on a budget but I wanted it to look good, keep the chickens safe and clean, and keep predators out. So I ended up with...
Free RIR cockerels. Well housed/fed and socialized (do not charge). Good with kids. Just started crowing. 2 available.

Hi all! I'm new and would love to share my pallet coop and run blog post with everyone. Hope this inspires others. Enjoy!
How I built a Pallet Coop Hybrid for around $1000:

If you would have told me even 5 years ago that I would become a chicken farmer, I would have laughed and thought you were crazy. Now I can't believe how much my children and I have enjoyed taking care of them and watching them grow. Great life experience!

Picked up some 8 pullets and couple of cockerels (I now know) in March. Used a bunch of coop ideas from here and other locations on the net. Saved a bit by building the frame and foundation of the coop with scrap pallet wood. Thanks all!
