Red, slightly swollen and Fussed knees in a chick? Is there any hope? He is a belly crawler, I noticed the splayed legs first and I put a little brace on him. I have since noticed his knees are red, slightly swollen and fussed. He cant straighten them. What can I do for him?
Omg! I think you hit the nail on the head! He breeds all different types in his barns. Never cross breeds though. Each breed has it's own shed. The egg had what I thought was GH but it must have been GS written on it so I wouldnt be surprised if it's a golden sebright!
He does breed sebright...
Im in Australia :) I have an araucana hen here at home that has a really small almost nonexistence comb but the same colour.
All my other (now) 7 week old rooster are starting to crow but this little guy isnt. So I'm very confused by it haha
I dont actually have one but I will get one in the morning :) I'll post it then :). The reason. I'm confused is all the other roosters I have are very bright red in the comb and are starting to crow already too
Hi everyone,
Just wondering what people think my Araucana's gender is? 6 weeks old
I dont even think it's an araucana. It came out of an extremely light blue egg but its comb doesnt look araucana shaped at all.
I have a golden spangled (hatched same time) and he looks nothing like this hen. That's why I'm stumped haha. I got her from a registered breeder. He marked each egg with SH or GH but never what colour of the type they would be. From the clutch I hatched 2 silver spangled ( SH eggs), 1 golden...
Hi everyone. I've had James (pullet) since she was born she is 6 weeks old. She is a Hamburg but I have no idea what colour she is. I am wondering if anyone knew what type she is?
Thank you. I had a feeling that the little ancona was a cockerel. The araucana has almost no comb at all so I was assuming it's a girl. I found out earlier that the little spangled Hamburg is a cockerel but he will be staying with me as he is so sweet and cuddly.
So I have a few to sex.
1. Welsummer (sold brown small comb)
2. Red Ancona (big comb brown and white)
And bonus if your eyes are good
3. Lavender Araucana (grey in the group)
Hi everyone
This is, Uno. I'm hope it's a girl BUT I will love her regardless of gender.
She is 4 weeks and 3 days old. Super sweet and friendly. I'm just wondering, is it a girl or boy?
