    I'm so glad you asked this, I logged on in order to ask the same thing! I have 5 chickens. 3 are laying, and on Mrs. Brisbee's second day (today) she just let it drop in the MIDDLE of the chicken run! Sounds like she did it because she's inexperienced haha

    Idea for mixed flock?

    Something that I didn't think about before I got my 5 hens is posting something like that! I have one Polish, and she's gotten her head pecked really bad by the others. It seemed to be an adolescent stage or something, and they haven't done it in a while, but we used to really worry about it...

    Post your FIRST EGG pics!

    First egg!! I am wondering.... is this from my Buff Brahma, or my Cuckoo Maran?? I thought that the CM's eggs would be darker, and she is squatting. The other 3 are EEs and a Polish, so I know it's not theirs. They were hatched the first week of June, so it looks like they're about 23/24...

    Oh my gosh!!! Thank you so much! I got 2 EEs and I thought that they were the two brownish ones (they looked so similar as chicks) and assumed the white chick was the Buff Brahma... Now I realize that Miss Brisbee is the Buff Brahma and Popcorn is the other EE! My world has been turned upside...

    Also, she's much bigger than the other 4 chicks we got (Easter Eggers, Cuckoo Maran, and Polish)....

    Hello!!! I got 5 birds, and I thought she was going to be a Buff Brahma (that's what I ordered). I guess this isn't true? What does she look like? A leghorn? Thanks so much for your help!
