I am in no way advertising for anyone, but whoever wants to, take a look at this:

He has ads all over craigslist for these.
Main flaws I see with that is the height, and no way is that predator proof. His large bird amounts for the size...
So according to this: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-much-room-do-chickens-need
I should be okay if I doubled the size, or make 2( "Been working on a design. 8'x16' with a 4'x8' coop on the "back" end.")?
And Good morning aart.
Just woke up, getting coffee, and chicks are at post office. Wife is getting them. Thought just crossed my mind that I asked the first questions on this thread, and nobody has any solutions or ideas either, just More questions....
Such is life. I'm getting too old and mean for this in the...
I plan on making a 24" wide skirt or apron out of hardware cloth (1/2 or 1/4 inch) along all sides that is removable. Ground is sloping in some spots, but flat enough in most areas for a 8'x16' tractor. (See above.)

Still is painful though having to spend so much just to get started. I keep thinking...
I've been reading through this forum for a couple weeks and signed up a few days ago. So much to try to learn and go through, and of course everyone has a different opinion on each topic.
After several years of talking about getting chickens, we finally are. We have 15 females and 2 males due...
