Hi all, Henrietta, our one-old barred rock just died in fronf of me! She was a little moody this morning but I didn't think anything of it at the time. She was always the cranky one with a wicked stink-eye but was really sweet when you picked her up and pet her.

We used that product to cover our run after a terrible hawk attack. The netting got caught on heavy wet snow and ripped and replaced it. We plan to save up some money for a permanent cover/fencing.
In May 2012 we received 25 female chicks (4 breeds) and received 27, one of which was an "exotic, rare breed" female. All were healthy and had no health issues & popping out high-quality eggs.
I only wish that they would not have added the exotic chick, a buff Polish, because the pullet...

The New Hampshire Reds, White Wyandottes, Australorps and Barred Rocks we have handle the New England weather just fine. Even the weekend of the February 2013 blizzard we received a bunch of eggs. I would have to say that the NH Reds are the bossiest of the group.
