Someone make my night and tell me - Pullet??

That behavior is how my boy d’uccle was acting. This looks like a dude to me. The roos are always the sweetest it’s the worst.

    French Black Copper Maran

Number 2 could be a cockerel. But it’s to early, I’d wager 4 is a girl. The others it’s a toss up.

Girl d’uccles can have high tails too. My d’uccles made their gender clear at 6 weeks.

    Gender in Breed?

Hi! Actually two of my four chicks turned out to be undeniably Boy. Red wattles, red comb, larger then their female counterparts, baby cock fights. But I found a farm that was super excited to have them, and we can visit. They’ll have their own little flock, all to themselves.

    Rooster or Not?

For what it matters my BLRW has a comb similar to your first pic, and has all the signs of a rooster at 5 weeks.

    Rooster or Not?

What do you mean incorrect single comb? Like it’s a genetic abnormality, or it’s not a cockerel?

    Relative newbie

Th thank you! I’m watching them like a hawk. They are really fun and adorable, and I just want to prepare myself mentally to have to rehome them if they are roosters.

    Feather sexing

I have two babies. Totally different personalities. Both have little yellow combs that just came in at 4 weeks and no wattle, the breeder I got them from says they are female. The feathers came in fast on one (the shy one who thinks everyone should give a piggie back ride) and a little slower on...

    Gender in Breed?

This little sweetie is nearly 4 weeks. It hatched from a Black Cooper Maran egg. The farm I got it from she thought it could be a black crossed with an olive egger, or maybe just a really dark Blue Cooper Maran. Out of the bunch it’s my favorite. The comb is prominent but there is no sign it’s...
