I'm having a hard time getting the temp in my brooder to be consistent throughout. Under the lamp temps are 110+ but if I move the thermometer about 6 inches to the right/left temps are 85-87. I way thinking about making a cardboard lid for 1/2 of the box. But I'm wondering of maybe the brooder...
My first set of girls are coming in next week and I amso nervous about somehow forgetting something important about caring for them. my husband told me that I should just relax. So in an effort to do just that, any advice for a newb that you wish you would have known about with your first flock?
