A few months ago, we drove to a town that is a three hour drive (one way) away from us. That day there was a live chicken auction with lots of rare Orpington breeds that we breed on our farm!
And a few weeks earlier we talked with one of the breeder from that town that has Orpington’s, and we...
I am happy for whoever wins as well! As much as I really wanted to get in and was happy with some of my photos and I had high hopes for them! But seeing the others that were on the contest I knew the contest was going to be rough and that the chances were high I wouldn’t get in! And I’m excited...
Oh I love roadrunners they are so funny!! Its so cute I love it!!
And Thank you I adore the photo of the laughing turtle dove I got! I got so excited when I finally saw it on the computer screen! As my camera screen is rather pixelated so you cant see how truly good it is until after!
Ah I have a very similar one! I have a panasonic DMC-FZ70! Im not too sure on the zoom but I know I have alot of zoom on it! But I am currently saving for a Sony A6700 camera with a Sony 200-600mm lens!
Its not too many at all! I have so many photos as well 🥰 and it is cool to see so many fascinating birds I havent really seen before! Ive added a few more of my more recent photos! And some of them Im very happy with!
Laughing turtle-dove
Red Tail Black Cockatoo!
And a yellow-rumped thornbill!
I live in the south west of western Australia! And I wanna know where abouts the other Western Australian's are! And also what types of chickens and poultry you have!
I have orpingtons of many different colours, frizzle/pekin mixes, and regular pekins!
With summer approaching for some of us, and summer ending for others. I figured now would be a great time to go over additions you can add, to help ensure your chickens are comfortable in the summer!
Addition #1, sprinklers
This one is a common one for many! However there are ways to improve it...
Same here 🥰 whenever I’m upset I always go out looking for birds or go and give treats to my chickens and t cuddle with some of my more social hens and it makes me feel much better!
I love them! They are so funny! There are currently a lot of yellow-rumped Thornbills around and it is so cute seeing them hop around! As they love being down on the ground hunting bugs and seeds!
They are probably one of the smallest birds the farm at the moment and they are so cute!
Omg!! That’s so cute!!! I got into birds as they are all I’ve grown up around! We do have very small birds that are honeyeaters, silver-eyes and also the wrens are teeny tiny! But I absolutely love the tiny ones there! They are so small and fluffy!!
