My first egg from my flock was laid today and I do not know how long I should leave it in the box, I'm kind of worried about it getting broken and the egg eating issue starting should I leave it there for an example for the other birds or take it out right away?

Yes, That is my Blue Copper Maran. So that light pink spot is her ear lobe? I will defiantly keep checking to see when it gets bright red. Is that the same for all of the pullets or just the Marans? I'll have to go look at my other pullets to see how they are coming along to then.

Yes, I do see what you mean. there is quite a difference I believe mine make 3 weeks old tomorrow. The picture I posted is my largest of the BCM that I have. so it might seem like its safe to say this is a pullet then?
Maybe you could run a cord out there with a hang lamp to put off some heat for her. ( I do this for mine and I have one of those shop lights that you squeeze the clip and it clings on to something and I put a red floodlight light bulb in it. It puts off a good bit of heat.) Just an idea...
