I was hoping I might draw upon your expertise with chickens and CRD. I unknowingly introduced CRD to my flock pretty early in my chicken raising experience (about 4 months into the first year) and I am now on year 3 of chicken crazy. I was able to get a positive MG result back from a cockerel...
I believe this was laid by one of my younger pullets. I have seen shell-less eggs, but I have never found one with the extra external and internal parts this one has.
I did get some great photos and was hoping for more comments/insight. She was absolutely filled with what I believe to be fat. The gizzard was completely surrounded. Very little food in it, crop was basically empty. The liver did not look right. No odors or anything else unusual (is finding...

I believe you have a little roo. Can you feel bumps on the legs where the spurs are starting to grow? My GLW hens didn't get "color" on their wattles until they were close to laying age (about 5-6 months).
I am caring for a 5 week old Speckled Sussex pullet with crossbeak. Today was my first time to Dremmel her beak. It was very easy to do. Has anyone ever made an "appliance" to attempt to correct the beak? My girl appears to be able to eat and drink just fine and is of similar size to the...
Desperate times, desperate measures. I drained a hen last November, an 18 month old Australorp. She did appear to have the remains of a shell-less egg dangling from her vent. I soaked her, removed the egg remains, gave a long acting antibiotic, and drained her after watching a you tube video...
I have the same incubator. Watch that turner motor area--it runs 2-3 degrees warmer than the rest of the incubator...and the "front" row is 2-3 degrees colder than desirable (or just don't use those rows-or add a fan.
