Still don't have current pictures. I've been busy lately. I'll do it soon, though!
I do have a question though. Has anyone else ordered Cornish that end up being the most greedy and big chickens of the bunch? xD That's been my experience. I don't mean Cornish Rocks, either.
Been a while, hasn't it? Doing great on my end. X3 I might have a rooster... too bad, my NHR is such a sweetheart. Loves to be cuddled. So far, my friendliest would have to be my Cochin. But my favorite seems to be my Cornish. She's fat wide and heavily muscled, and eats a LOT. Always...
Oh, it's been a while since that cooled down. But she still hasn't opened her eye, I fear she won't. No more danger of picking, though. Just never had a chiken who was blind on one side, especially this young. I did have an old blind one once, though!
:3
Oh, I meant to say. I have a Salmon Faverolle chick who was picked on badly when my Delaware went on an evil rampage of fluffy doom. She got injured over her eyes, and she won't open one of them. I think it got hurt and that she can't see out of it. Should I be worried?
Down in Arizona for the next two weeks. Took my new babies with me, and they're doing great!
...has anyone else noticed the rapidly spreading disease that is chicken addiction? I know we all have it, but I'm seeing it more and more!
Sorry for being so quiet. I guess, why post on a chicken...
Brahmas have peacombs... check for that. Usually you can tell in chicks, because the peacomb doesn't go as high up the head as single combs, but that's my experience and I may be wrong.
Yes, Light and Buff Brahmas have columbian patterns... Black on wings, tail, and neck.
So, I might be moving out of state... However, my birds would need a health inspection and I want to take precautions to avoid my birds getting the diseases that disqualify them from being able to come with me. Could anyone tell me about these diseases, how common they are in a backyard flock...
Ah, well that's unfortunate. It happens though. lD
Um.
Er.
I draw'd a chicken 8'D
...It's not done yet of course but here's where I am with the piece! His name is Angelo. c:
I figured it would be ok to post here just this once lD

Ah, yes!
I certainly need to get in touch with her again. It's fun knowing people that share my interest, even though not a single person I've met so far is around my age xP
I've forgotten her name at the moment, but the owner of SunnyBrooke is in one way or another a friend of mine. I ordered from Ideal with her many years ago. I believes she breeds Lavender Orpingtons, but I'm not sure, she has a website you could check out.
Glad to help! I wish I could suggest...
I get so jealous of you guys! xD Looking forward to my chicks to arrive in three months. I await the day I can live on my own and live somewhere where I'm allowed to have more that 8 chickens.
sorry, the quote feature isn't working for me right now lD
@christine9:
I love your Brahma! Such a pretty girl, much better than the ones I got at Ideal! x3
And I know, no show quality from a hatchery. xD I just tend to like wide, fluffy, big chickens and the majority of birds I got from...
SunnyBrooke isn't a hatchery... At least I don't think so. She raises a couple varieties but orders the rest from hatcheries. I've gotten birds from her with no problem.
Never gotten birds from Cal Ranch, IFA is decent I guess... XD I always prefer breeders personally, but you might try...
