Thanks. And yes, the lighter ones with the smaller tufts of yellow on the chest. I'm not sure what went in to making them but so far they act and carry themselves like normal Cayuga. My hopes are pretty high for them to be what they're supposed to be. The guy who bred them is extremely...
Blues are a slate gray color and Chocolate is Chocolate colored. The guy I got them from has the only ones I've even heard of. I have Blues of both breeds coming later in the year. It's going to be a fun breeding season next year lol
My Chocolate Cayuga and Chocolate East Indies Ducklings came in yesterday. I couldn't find any pictures online, so I thought I'd share some here so people can see what they look like. There is a Black East Indies Duckling in there too. It's next to a Chocolate in the first picture
Thanks. And some genes are sex-linked. The chocolate seems to be good for having sex linked ducklings fairly easily. I couldn't say why that is the way it is, but that's how it works out
I made this chart to be able to more easily see what outcomes are possible when mixing some colors. In this one I mapped out combinations of Blue, Black, Silver, Chocolate, Lavender and Lilac. The obvious ones I left out- like Black to Black etc. I thought maybe some people on here would find it...

There's eggs from everyone but the Silkies in this picture. The green ones are the mixed breed girls, the darker one at the top is Cayuga, and the rest are mainly Khaki with some Pekin
Thank you. They're all laying except one of the Silkies. I got my first egg from them yesterday in a Cayuga nest. The ones that are hatching now were mostly From a Khaki, but I threw some other eggs under her before she started setting.
I'm not sure if it can be called free range or not, but my...
Sorry for the slow reply, I haven't had much time to get online lately. But that timeframe sounds perfect. I've got just over 20 eggs under a Khaki mama ready to pop any time now. I can't wait for full nest syndrome lol. Here's some pics of the gang
