Haven't ever heard of colors triggering roosters, you are doing the right thing by trying to impose yourself though and not just running away. Roosters that attack usually do it because they see you as a rooster and therefore want to determine the pecking order; he wants to be the boss. Shouting...
Are your chickens shut in or do they roam free ?
Usually if a predator has been the other chickens tend to be a bit traumatised, will hide under trees, go into the coop early and act extra vigilant. Unless they didn't see it happen ( does she hang out alone or with the others? ). A bird doesn't...
Hello,
Could anyone help with sexing my cream legbar chick please ? They are meant to be autosexing but am still not sure. From what I understood, males are meant to have a yellow dot on their head, which mine doesn't have, however she ( or he ) doesn't have dark markings like the photos I've...

What do you think ? Thanks :)
Looks like it, if I were you I'd treat it just in case, rub some vaseline on his feet every night for a few days and see if it improves. Had a chicken with similar issue and that did the trick !
Vaseline is good because it is cheap and not harmful to the chicken ;)
Thank you ! I only said may be cross sussex because he came from a mixed flock with sussex, orpingtons and brahmas, would be good if he is pure. What makes you say cockerel ?
Hello, here is are a couple of photos of my orpington ( maybe cross sussex ? ) chicken of 5 months, and am not sure if it's a hen or a cockerel. Any ideas ? Thank you !
