    I sincerely hope your chicken manages to improve x i look back now and wonder if maybe i had just left mavis to it she might have survived. It really plays on my conscience how i interfered. Maybe it wasn't for the best. Sometimes i suppose you just feel a bond. Good luck.

    I have checked her for mites, and have been unable to find any.     Her comb is flopped to one side, but it has been like that for the two weeks i have had her, however it seemed pale earlier compared to now. It also seems cold at times.

    Yes her abdomen feels swollen.     Mavis is currently receiving the steam treatment fingers crossed her vent is still pulsating. i may still bathe her again later and that will be her 7th bath up to date x
