poorly chicken

I have four chickens which i have had for four years suddenly three months ago one of them was bullied by the other three to the point she lost weight, tail feathers,hid in corners in. the end i sepperated her to another coup i have tried every trick in the book to get her back in with them but she is hounded and it is a vicious attack by all. up until two days ago she was feeding happy to be on her own but now she is not eating drinking her bottom is blocked with poo so i have bathed it with warm salted water and it is hard poo because she is sitting down on it and will not leave the sleeping area now she seems to be standing because it looks raw i have given her asprin in her drinking water but she is not drinking .also have put an hot water bottle besde her to keep her warm

I sincerely hope your chicken manages to improve x i look back now and wonder if maybe i had just left mavis to it she might have survived. It really plays on my conscience how i interfered. Maybe it wasn't for the best. Sometimes i suppose you just feel a bond. Good luck.

Thankyou for your support since my last report my chicken looks a lot better when i picked her up and looked underneath her i just said wow what was a very red bald area was all fluffed up i think the fact that i bathed her bottom in warm salt soapy water for two days helped and the hot water bottles also. She would not come out of her bed so i pushed her and she just wobbled so i picked her up and put her outside and she would not move so i pushed her towards water drinker she sat there for awhile then she had a drink that was the first time in two days i have been smearing water on her beak but she would not open up. This morning i hoped she would come out on her own but she just stayed on the spot so i put her near the door to see if she would go down the ramp but she just remained on the spot so i just left her there and will go and have a look later. I think she is petrified of the others like i said when she is bullied it is a vicious attack it is not just a peck but they almost cover her body and go for the back of her neck There is a large mesh portion between her and them although they can see each other they cannot get to her. I cannot understand why they are doing this they have the run of the main house which i have converted a garden shed they have an enclosure and another run and are cleaned out every day and are well fed but this how they repay me they are laying only the odd egg now and again because its the time of year my bullied girl produces no eggs at all and its been months but i am not bothered because she was always my pet. just have to wait and see now Regards Belinger
