one of our chicks, beatris is suddenly behaving strangely, she wont walk but will sometimes stand and has an appetite and will drink water. her legs seem really weak or tired cause she seems unbalanced when standing and is easily knocked over. she had really severe cocci weeks ago and she seems fully recovered, shes been on medicated feed since. she was perfectly fine last night and has no other symptoms. shes vaccinated for mereks and recently begun having access to a new all flock fee were giving our adults because theyve been integrated, and also some calcium we gave them but ive never seen the chicks show interest im it andive heard theyll avoid it. i gave them vitamin, probiotic and prebiotic water the other day. what do i do?!?

Are you sure that cocci has been defeated? Can you take a stool sample to a local vet for a fecal float test? Some strains are resistent. Redosing the corid won't hurt her. Did you do the full treatment (5 days on, 1 week off, 5 days on)?

If you know that the cocci has been defeated, then vitamin therapy would be in order (vit e, 1/3 vit b complex with a little egg to help the uptake of vit e).

My first thought would be to redose corid (or whatever you used to treat the coccidiosis), I would even do a direct dosing of her along with the corid water being the only water available.

Shes been on medicated since and the nearest chicken vet is too far for me to go anyday soon. Her poo is also normal. The treatment we did was 7 days of corid in all their water, she seemed recovered after that. I have given her vitamin water for now

Also i should clarify, shes not got that stance she just was napping when i took that but when she’s awake its just like shes sitting down but fully alert and such
