I'm getting 2 Indian runners next week and I have 7 3 week old chicks... I'm hoping since they are will be young they will be good together. What do you feed ducks? The same as chickens? I don't know but those muscovies sound a bit aggressive~

I have 2 week old babies... and 2 of them are losing their feathers around their mouth. It's sticky there also. I'm just wondering if any of you know of this... I'd hate to have my whole 7 chicks have something that would wipe them out. Thanks

I just got 6 baby Americana's (or EE I don't care) and a brown barred rock baby... I just love them! I cleaned out the coop and yard even tho they are too young to go out there...

I went in for five and came away with 7 6 Americana's and 1 Barred Rock. Now if I can figure how to add pictures I will ~anyone help me?

Thanks everyone... My local feed store says they are getting in Aracuana chicks but now I wonder if they really aren't Americana... Which I'd rather have. How can I tell the difference?

She died in my arms and I'm heartbroken.... When I look at true Aracucana's they don't look like the one I had.. maybe she was part Americana ... I now have my 2 year old Silver Wyandotte and black and gold Polish... I'm thinking of getting 4 more Aracucana babies... how long will I need to...

I 'll tell what happened to my favorite hen.... she went from laying eggs to losing all her feathers and growing ROOSTER feathers... she will crow, will not lay anymore eggs, and isn't fertile..... This happens to 1 in 10,000 hens... I wish I'd known... I hope you have hens` Pattee

...they have lost every single tail feather is this normal molting? Will it come back? It's just on one of my chickens all the rest have kept their tail feathers during this molt. Inquiring mind would like to know....

I know chickens are flocks by nature but do you think it's possible to just keep one chicken? Would she be lonely? Please if anyone has any idea I'd be happy to hear. For or against it. Thanks~

Aw no I wish she was the same chicken.... I wrote about her on another post... she was a hermaphrodite chicken (I support transgendered chickens!) She lost all her feathers and the flock was pecking her to death so I took her to the feed and seed... about 5 days later they said they had a good...

I found a chicken a very nice one probably about a year old. I've tried to find her home but to no avail... My flock is a year and a half.... what's the best way to introduce her to the rest of the hens (molting by the way) Thanks:hu~

I agree call the humane society or animal control. Your friend is a compulsive collector of animals.... Some people collect things and others collect pets and then they can never take care of them. You'd be doing a disservice to the animals not calling someone. You might save these animals lives!
