    sore foot on my chicken

    I have never had a lame chicken before. I found my chicken with this sore today. I washed it off and put antibiotic ointment on it with a bandage. Did I do the right thing? I plan on changing the bandage again tomorrow. Should I be doing anything else ? TY for your assistance. patti

    Easter Egger club!

    I want to get some EE chicks this year I notice that they are small chickens. I have 16 hens being a mix of RIR and RB do you think they would do well in a flock of this nature. I would not put them with the other birds until they are 20 weeks old.

    Check your sick peeps bottom. wipe it off with a baby wipe or warm cloth. It may have pasty butt. I covered the top of the box with a piece of cloth but you need to be sure your heat lamp does not get near it and start a fire. I think if you use plywood it may get too hot for the peeps,
