    19 eggs from 9 chickens and 4 ducks?

    I've been told by two different people that their leghorns commonly lay two eggs per day. I don't think it is that unheard of for this to happen.

    I think I read on this site that some people put cider vinegar and or garlic in the chickens water. What purposes does this serve, and what are the limitations if any as far as age, diet?

    AS FAR AS THE APPLES GO I WAS HOPING ID GET THAT REPLY. I HAVE A TREE THAT IS IN CHICKEN LAND AND WASNT LOOKING FORWARD TO PATROLING FOR DROPPED FRUIT EVERY HOUR IN SEASON.

    WHEN I WAS A KID MY PARENTS FED OUR CHICKENS SOME LEFT OVER FISH THAT WE HAD COOKED UP. WE COULDNT EAT THEIR EGGS FOR A WEEK AFTER THAT FOR THE FISHY TASTE.
