    When should I put a fake egg in their nesting box?

    My girls are only 8 weeks old but I was wondering when do you put the fake egg in their nesting boxes to teach them where to lay? They are Plymouth Rocks. I have never seen anything grow so fast either! dawn

    Thanks! OK, hear is my next question: What time chickens generally go in at night? Was thinking of an auto type door for when we go out of town (if we ever do) but then I'd worry about one getting left out in the coop!
