Flea explosion..... need advice on safe & economical way to treat yard.

The dogs are on Trifexis, and it does kill fleas. Every time they come back inside they spend an hour chewing themselves. When my husband walks to his shop and comes back in, there are dozens of fleas on his pant legs. They're driving me crazy.

Flea explosion..... need advice on safe & economical way to treat yard.

Anyone else having a flea problem? This year has been very wet and hot. The fleas are eating us alive. Every time we walk outside they come in on our clothes, and on the dogs. The dogs are up to date with their flea medication, but that doesn't keep the fleas from hitching a ride into the...

I stocked up on some antibiotics before they took them off the shelf. It seemed like I had just got my chicks ..... i was reading up on what seemed like horror stories to me.... being a newbie. Now I have several different expired meds. Does anyone have any knowledge about drugs and their...

    Sour crop

I read your great article and I'm sure my hen has a sour crop. I didn't want to start a new post so i thought I'd ask here. I found the Miconazole suppositories at the store, but they have two different strengths .... the 3 day pack/box that has 3 prefilled applicators of 4% Miconazole...

Tendon injury in adult Silkie ... treatment?

EggSighted4Life Mareks is always at the top of the list, but he's not paralyzed in that leg and actually holds it up sometimes and hops on one foot. He's not prostrate. He's been this way for over a week without change. I'm fairly certain it's not a vitamin deficiency 'cause I routinely...

Tendon injury in adult Silkie ... treatment?

My precious Fabio, love of my life, is having problems walking. He's 2 years old. Monday morning he was as crazy as ever. He is a very active boisterous little guy. In the afternoon when I went out he was not using his left leg at all. I brought him inside and did a thorough exam.... even...

    Hands on hatching and help

Frosty was born Dec. 26. Unfortunately she will be all alone. I'm jumping over to the Brood Forum for some tips on single chicks, but I wanted to thank you all for your help.

    Hands on hatching and help

Yes it did it on it's own. It was chirping it's head off and not making any progress. So I helped it.... it's now out and drying. I don't think the other eggs are viable. Can one chick alone make it?

    Hands on hatching and help

Thank you so much. They are on day 20.... is that to late? And yes the air cell is lopsided.... lower on one side. I have rubberized shelving cover over the floor. Should I place them flat, or make a small ridge and place them at a slight angle with the air cell up? Glad for your help. I...

    Hands on hatching and help

I have not had good luck with hatching. I've read so many different opinions and tried a totally dry hatch last time. It was the worse result yet. So this time we had really rainy weather so I just ignored the humidity 'cause I didn't know how to lower it. At day 17 the air cell was the same...
