Hello all! I have five 2-month old chicks. I have a pretty good idea of gender for a couple of them, but I need help with the others.
Chick 1= Orange chick
Chick 2= White body black head chick
Chick 3= Swedish flower chick
Chick 4: Barred rock
I'm going to make this story short so we can get to the important stuff. Our rooster has been aggressive and standoffish since he was a chick. He attacks us from behind, and we have kicked him multiple times. A few times we thought we killed him ourselves or severely injured him, but he always...
My broody hen has been sitting on her eggs for almost a week. She has not left very often to get water or food, so I was very worried about her. We have an old enclosed dog crate where I placed her to hatch out some eggs. I put her food and water in there and it looks like the water spilled all...

Hey, everybody! The other day I was taking pictures of my rooster to show to a friend, and the lighting was absolutely perfect! Thought that I would share some ☺️
Hey everyone! Recently, my dad found an egg from one of the nesting boxes that had a weird umbilical-like cord attached to the end of it (I'm just going to say umbilical cord because that's the best way to describe it). The point where the umbilical cord thing attached to the egg was very soft...
I usually clean it out every 3-4 days. It is a three-gallon waterer, so I try not to dump it out every 1-2 days and waste the water. Could it be because its so big? Maybe I need to downsize.
