This may have already been mentioned. I haven't read all the comments yet but please isolate and quarentine new chicks for at least 30 days. I can't stress this enough. I do quarentine. Always. Breeders that are NPIP certified, doesn't mean you can't end up with sick chicks.

Keep in mind, any young chickens can be flighty and probably get over a 4 foot fence. Heavier breeds would be less likely to get over a 4 ft fence when they get to laying age. (I think that was a question) About the only breed I had that didn't go over the fence were my cream legbars. Not sure...
I told everyone I'd let them know the results. The larger one is a boy. Just started crowing and compared to a Silkie crow, it is a very deep crow. LOL
