    My chickens don't know how to use their coop. Help please!

    My suggestion with the ramp is to remove it. They can get in and out without the ramp. I had the same problem with my chickens and once i removed it all was well. With getting them to lay in the boxes, I put 2 golf balls in the nest boxes and they started laying in them. I hope this helps..

    Roost bar

    I would think it depends on the type of chickens you have. Bantams might need to be a little lower than for a standard size. I have standards and the roost is about 30 inches off the floor. Hope this helps.

    Bumblefoot surgery success.

    I just did my first bumble foot surgery this morning. Went very well. These chickens are my buddies, so I was concerned about hurting her. After getting all my supplies(e-xacto knife, gauze, anti septic, etc) the procedure went extremely well. It took about 20 minutes and she was a trooper...

    We have a raised coop, so we hang our feeder and water under the coop. Works great and keeps the weather out.

    I have a 3 1/2 month old polish. The crest seems to be falling to one side and pushing down the eyelid. No feathers are in the eye, just the weight of the crest seems to be causing her to "wipe" her eye on her wing. Any suggestions?

    Eggs still won't peel

    Add a cap full of vinegar in the water you are using to boil the eggs. Seem to help ours peel easier.
