As promissed in the post above, here is a Video of this male which was hatched late in 2016. You can see nothing is wrong with him.
Best regards
Reinhold
Dear Jaques,
you are referring above to my Facebook post from 31.07.2016. First of all, it is not my intention to breed all eggs! The reason why I hatched this late some chicks was, for this male (Cäsar) and female (Sissi) it was the first time when she was five years that she was laying!
She...
No Problem, then I mixed you up with another guy. But I want to say this male is for sure not an Offspring from any studbook bird!
Because I don't know anybody who would be able to breed birds in 2016!
Regarding the white feathers a detailed report is scheduled which give much more Facts About...
Dear Jaques,
somebody told you not the truth!
If this male is breed in 2016 it can be for 100% not an Offspring from this female, because this female is from 2015 and this means impossible to get any egg from her in 2016!
Another thing is 90% of the males are fertilize earliest with 3 years...
Al lot of in your post are very strange. First of all, this male is never ever two years old! If it is two years old then it is for sure not a pure muticus! Where it is coming from I don't know, but it is not registered in the studbook otherwise I should now it and it should have rings.
When...
This is not usual, normally a hen leads the chicks until to the next spring. Then it is normal that they shoo away the chicks.
Last year I had a similar situation and I was wondering what is happen. The reason was the hen started two week later a second time to lay eggs and breed. This is...
The breeding season 2016 finished today. The last chick hatched today. 4,5 months after I got the first two green peafowl chicks today now the last one for this year was coming. I’m happy that the breeding season is now over, because it is always a lot of work and sometimes a lot of trouble too...
June month of contrasts! now you can see everything, male which are already moulting and others which are still in full courtship. Hens which are laying and other which are leading chicks. Half of our males dropped off the trains. In the pictures, two cocks are seen "Caesar" and "Fritz" which...
Spring means breeding season
Even if the weather at the moment don’t feel like spring, it is breeding season. Today we had again such a cold and wet day (6°C and raining) which we not would like to have.
With this weather it is not possible to let the green peafowl chicks out for a longer...
Breeding peafowl hens
Not always I can manage that my hens are breeding, especially for the green peafowl hens it is not so easy to offer a suitable place for breeding.
The black shoulder hen in the pictures is the best breeding hen which I ever had. She lays every year exact 5 eggs and then she...
The first green peafowl chicks for 2016 are here now.
The hens started laying very early this year and due to this yesterday the first chicks are eclosed.
I wish all of you a good and successful breeding season.
Dany, I know this situation there, it is frustrating to mention it again and again and nobody would like to see what will happen soon or later.
You know all these pictures from Thailand very well, where hybrids running in the wild with pure greens.
The only thing we can do is to point out this...
Please list up what type of peafowl you would looking for.
One concern I have to mention here. You are going back to a country where green peafowl are originated and living in the wild.
Every color mutation or spalding peafowl which you will keep there and will somehow release to the wild can...
