    Is this common? My golden comet started laying a few weeks ago, we got an egg a day for 10 days. Then Sunday evening she squatted in the middle of my deck and laid an egg with no shell and hasn't laid anything since. Three days with nothing. Her behavior looks normal to me, she's drinking...

    Sorry I wasn't clear, the best boxes are added space to the coop. it's 4x3, then both ends have cut outs and the nest boxes were attached to the outside. But I suppose that's neither here nor there- 1ft per bird to roost is something I've never read before and I definitely don't have that...

    Last one :) Chick #3, Easter egger, 7 weeks. Can't even find pictures of one colored like this to compare, though I'm sure they're out there. Super hard to get a picture of, this one is the most skittish. When I can get close enough, I do see distinct ridges in the comb, but it's still yellow.

    Chick #2, Black Copper Maran, 7 weeks. Comb isn't really growing, still yellow to slightly pink, no wattle growth at all. Also no copper in the neck. Little bits of copper appearing at the wing tips but is almost entirely black
