the girls are warm tucked up in near their house near to the house out of the weather, mind you they love the snowthey are like kids,so are we..
I have a larger roof now. But, I have a problem with vermin now more than before
it is mild and still very wet, so I have to resort to traps.. has anyone got this problem and perhaps more ideas ..

oh hi, its pigeon-posthens here. Yes just a thought but, how would the floor 'earth area' be kept fresh and all the grass is gone when it all turns to mud and slush, or are you going to use some wood chip or even bark. What are yougoing to use...

yes I will post a pic of the first of the leghorn eggs, and will post some of the blue eggs too,
but as you say its winter and the shorter days plays hell with the girls egg laying system and generally with their whole bird to..

Do you know I was in the same boat as you are at the moment, however 2 of my leghorns are still to lay 26 weeks later. Although this time I'm more relaxed about not having any eggs, as yet.
