To self (lol yes I talk&type to myself) wondering... do I pop final 2nd vent&chance wonky temp changes&quickly pull peep out&put him in broader POSSIBLY disturbing 'to hatch' chicks OR hang tight?? Ahhh...I know, no one has to say it...bbl (going to bang my head on the wall),,

Its belated&catching up on thread but sorry about your poor little ducks beak. Hopefully it's doing ok&eating now..def not a baby that should be using a drip bottle to drink(just my opion).
Hi room!
Ok I have been trying to,let nature take it's course but I'm looking hope. One chick fully hatched yesterday(early) and 6eggs in incubater with it. Ugh after feeding kids I go peek&one egg exploded. I took it out quickly (temp only dropped 2degrees&went back up) I'm pretty nervous I'm...
Crumbles are just that, fine grainules&easier for young pullets&growing cockerals to digest however it seems a great deal goes to waste&squirrels and worms might find their way quickly to your flock.
Pellets look a lot like rabbit&horse feed..small formed bits..least for us our birds don't waste...
Welcome. Not gonna pretend a part of me is not yelling within,,,,"Why in the world would someone dump a perfectly good bird?" people do crazier things though everyday.
There's a family that raises those not far from me. Watch&see if she lays an egg tomorrow&keep us updated, please!
Went into lock down last night(saturday).
A Dominique chick had started in an egg. NO clue what caused it's egg to explode.? Err makes me SO frustrated! Quickly cleaned it up&didn't disturb other eggs that should hatch Monday.
