There was some one I found on craiglist that breeds isbars so I got a few from her. Clark farm in Higanum sells pullets so I bought a few from them. And also I occasionally hatch eggs.
Somewhat similar experience. Website is enticing because they make it sound as though they have pullets of a ton of different breeds available. They don't, at least not all at the same time. My first go I bought 4 Cochins. 2 were roosters, I didn't care really about the first, but returned the...
Before I tossed him up on Craigslist free section I wanted to offer up my 13 week old mottled bantam frizzled Cochin. Free to whoever wants to come get him in Stratford. Great bird, beautiful healthy bird, just can't have roosters.
I'm sure you're all tired of these by now but I have been so torn since birth about the sex of this one. 13 weeks old now. Comb has stayed a light pink, but wattles are sort of big but I don't know if that's standard for breed. Are the feather paterns telling you anything? Thanks in advance!

I eventually figured out it was two hens pecking at her, had to rehome them, now her feathers are doing great. So strange since they were always such a close group of three, by oh well.
