The box contains things from supplements, treats, decorations, topical medicine, clothes and jewelry for us to wear. So it's not just for the spoiled poultry;).
The more poultry you have, makes the box a little more worth it in my opinion! I do however wish they made a mini box! :idunno
I totally forgot I posted this! Sadly I got no responses from it. I loved the box I got! I haven't gotten any other boxes since. However, it's not for the lack of liking the box, just a lack of money to spend on fun things like this! I have been following what's all in the boxes each month and...
Goodmorning,
Last spring I purchased 2 geese. 1 Pilgrim Gander and 1 American Buff Goose. They both passed unexpectedly that fall. I have eliminated every factor and have come down to 2 reasons they could have passed:
Coccidia OR Nutrients Deficiency
Since they have passed I have looked over...
Her wing was okay, its just the way she was holding them out. They felt and appeared in good shape.
Unfortunately she did pass away last night around 11pm in my arms. She fought till the end. She had no other symptoms other then going down hill very fast.
Came home from work today to find my goose in trouble. Delta (10wks old) crawled out of the pool and walked up to me. Stood infront of me and honked and honked and honked. I moved around her thinking she was hungry and she followed. Walked in front of me again and kept honking. I picked her up...
I purchased my geese in June. They had 2 breeds at the feed store, American Buff and ... well I can't remember.. I will be contacting them later this week to see what the other breed was. I picked out 2 geese from the brooder with the sign American Buff. Obviously they are not both American...
Hey everyone!
I recently stumbled across this: https://hennyandroo.cratejoy.com/about
It's a monthly subscription for Chickens! You know those fun boxes you can order for yourself and your dogs? I found a company that does this for chickens! I feel like I just found a pot of gold.. I'm not even...
So essentially,
If i want them to hatch eggs for me, I sacrifice everyone stop laying for the year.
If I want eggs to eat, then I sacrifice them not hatching eggs for me.
If only they listened to what i want them to do... lol
9 eggs in total, she's my biggest of the 4, so she fits them all under her really well. I was getting 4 eggs a day religiously. Im thinking you're right, will they continue to not lay until (hopefully) Dolly's nest hatches?
Hey Everyone! Some late night thoughts of mine!
I have 4 silver appleyards that are a year old, they have been doing great laying. They even started laying earlier then I expected with our horrible weather we have had (Minnesota). The girls have always shared a nest, my female Dolly will create...
Last spring I lost 5 ducks and 2 chickens to Raccoons! I thought I had our pen improved enough this year. However they have taken 2 turkeys (10 weeks old at the time) and now one of my appleyards. We have always had a problem with them getting into our feed bins if we dont have the barn latched...
Alright, better pictures!
They are supposed to be about a week old possibly older.
