Post ISSAC Sick Roo and hens not laying...HELP!

Hi all, I have several, possibly related, but possibly unrelated things going on with my little flock and I 'm hoping that someone here can help me figure it out. My BB Roo was acting very lethargic this afternoon. I watched him for quite awhile and his appetite seems normal but I noticed...

Can anyone tell me what kind of breed this little rooster is?

Oh, yes, now that I look at the pics, I think you're right that he's probably a Columbian Wyandotte mix of some variety :) He really is a looker! About his cooing...I have 5 hens and another big-daddy rooster (Buff Brahma) and this little guy makes totally different sounds than any of them...

Can anyone tell me what kind of breed this little rooster is?

He was sold to me when about 4 months old as a Delaware hen but he turned out to be a rooster, and I sure don't think he is a Delaware. But what is he?? He doesn't even sound like any chicken I've ever heard. He coos and trills like a pigeon (and gets *really* excited for scratch and sounds...

I thought the smell came FROM the discharge? That's how I understood it from my reading anyway. And the swap birds smelled like that even after we'd washed them (yeah, we'd not realized that it was actually an illness and thought they were just 'dirty birds'). It was clearly coming from the...

What I decided to do yesterday is to TRY treating them and if they can somehow come out of this, we'd just not add to our flock until they all move on...we'd just keep these knowing that they'd be carriers and take the precautions necessary. We are all just too attached to do othewise, I think...

Last Ditch Effort? Can you administer sulmet orally/individually and if so, how much per syringe?

Oh, lordy. I just don't think I can do it. It does look more humane and there's no blood...both huge, but I'm just going to have to get someone else to do it, I think. Thanks for finding and sharing the videos. Maybe it'll be possible for me to show the videos to someone who has the stomach to...

Last Ditch Effort? Can you administer sulmet orally/individually and if so, how much per syringe?

Yes, please...and thank you. I still don't know if *I* will be able to do it, but I'll watch and see. I really just need to be able to make myself look at this differently...you know the whole, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change" thing? I guess if I am...

Last Ditch Effort? Can you administer sulmet orally/individually and if so, how much per syringe?

Thanks, CMV. <sigh> Yes, I guess I already know that in the deepest part of me, but I just haven't been able to convince myself, yet, that there was NO HOPE and that I should give up on them. ;( I just wish I could take it all back, and never set foot on a **** swap meet...and of course, I know...

Last Ditch Effort? Can you administer sulmet orally/individually and if so, how much per syringe?

That awful coryza that I'd brought home from the swap is now affecting my original flock, with five of them (out of six) showing pretty severe signs (all have rattley breathing, several have runny noses, two have pale droopy combs, and one has a closed eye). My neighbor suggested that they...

Well, it's been 6 days today and I was thinking that the rest of our chickens (original flock) were going to not contract that darned coryza that came home w/us from the swap. This afternoon, I became concerned because one of the RIR hens was under a bush and making an unusual, repeating sound...

Wazine for 6 chickens/I think I messed up

Sooo...I thought I had this figured out, but if they're supposed to finish it in one day, I've messed up I'd put 2 T of wazine in their waterer because it holds a gallon, but it's been a full day and they've gone to bed, and there's still a little over half a gallon of the wazine water left...
