    Cartersville rooster

    I have no idea what breed my rooster is. He was given to me by a friend. He is very friendly and immediately took a shining to my lone RIR hen. She seems content with him, I don't know how to post a pic yet but I will try. He is mostly white with a large red comb, his cape is a little sandy...

    erratic laying, colors and sizes

    My girls are just jetting started laying, I am getting an egg sometimes two a day, they are diffeternt colors and sizes, I have two RIR, and two aruacanas.... I think, some green some brown and sometimes a purple/ lavender looking one. I have just started them into a bag of Dumor 16% layer...

    Excited about First Eggs in Ga.

    Thanks folks ! I have built a couple of boats and that evolves into "boatbuildingvirus" I think the chicken keeping is about the same, it seems to be infectious. I will get some layer food and a bit of oyster, I have turned back the heat lamp and may dial back the light....not sure. Thanks again

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

    Hello all, I am outside Cartersville. I have 4 hens. 2 RIR, 1 Ameraucana, 1 EE. I am excited, I bought 6 chickens at easter, sadly they were eaten by a dog just before July 4. I bought my current 4 girls at Ladds farm supply, I just got my first egg yesterday and another one today !
