Thank you. I’ll crack the eggs tomorrow am and see. We have grandchildren and we do want to experience chicks hatching. I’m going to show my ignorance with this question but if I leave the eggs and then realize she’s not really broody how long would the eggs be good to eat?
One, maybe two, of my young hens has just started laying 2 weeks ago. One was laying on the bare shelf of my She Shed. I’ve set her up with a nest box now but we take her one egg a day from the nest. She spends so much time in her box I’m wondering if she’s broody and if she is, is it likely...
The pond isn’t their only source of water but it does need topping off. The ducks and geese haven’t started using it yet but it took about a week before they got into the baby pool I had. Lilies are a great idea, thank you!

Stay tuned. I've seen man made covers that only the rabbits and guinea pigs could get under...that is one thought about the roosters. But stay tuned...it definitely will be an expensive experiment.

Hi, I've raised all kinds of animals in my lifetime, rabbits, orphaned squirrels, chicken, ducks, etc. But now I'm thinking of a new project....to build a free range habitat for a few guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. Need some building plans advice before I get carried away.
