Well... our halloween party was last night, and for 2 years I have wanted to go as "Eric Draven" - Brandon Lee's character in "The Crow"....
Just to put the costumes here in perspective, here is a NORMAL pic of me walking my girlfriends dog LOL
The first year i Planned it, I ended up being...
Yea same answer here really... my girls have slowed down with the laying for the last week or so. We've gone from 5 or 6 a day to 2 or 3 nothing to worry about, it'll pick up again when we get warmer...
Nope, never wash the eggs... as many have said here... if there is dried poop about on the egg... it just flakes off anyway, whack em in the egg basket (old school i know LOL) and crack em when im gonna wolf em down, i dont get the point in washing an egg just coz their is a bit of dirt or poo...
UPDATE:
Hey guys, just to let all of you know that posted, that Poppy and Bluebell are all settled in and "part of the flock" as it were They do seem to like being in the coop rather than the run most of the time, but when they are out, they are fine with the other girls, slight pecking once...
Either my Bluebell or my Cuckoo Maran cross.... (both 18/19 weeks old) layed her first egg today, its the smallest lil egg ive ever seen i could just squish her with cuddles hehehe
The settling may take a while then they seem to be reacting to the cd positively tho, so my hopes are up again.... they keep going up and down day by day hehe think i may just worry too much
Because humans apparantly know better than nature! its evil and cruel as far as i am concerned, what i DO know is that they will get all the love and attention that is humanly possible
yea i have done this too, i have an extended 10ft run as an extra to the 5ft one on the coop, water and feeder at coop end, and at the extended end there is another station...
I let them out every day... and they separate off, the 4 Hylines together, and 2 new girls together, if they cross each...
